

Tips on Archival Framing
A newer trend in framing is the use of archival products, we offer all the products you need to keep your possessions from being ruined by not being framed with preservation in mind.
It may sometimes be intimidating to hear all of the words used in archival framing. By us explaining your options you will have the right to choose. There are so many different ways to preserve what you are framing.
We have acid free mats (rag mats) along with acid free backing. We use acid free hinging to adhere what you are framing to the backing that will not cause any permanent damage.
Even when drymounting you have the choice of going acid free, we offer 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch foam to make sure you are staying archival all the way through.
Many people think that there is just regular and non reflective glass. Non reflective glass is something that has grown in popularity. Imagine how different your favorite room would look with out your picture frame glass reflecting everything in the room.
We also offer each of those with a UV protective coating. There is regular conservation and conservation non glare glass. The difference in the length of the life of your artwork is well worth it in the long run.
There is another type of glass that is becoming increasingly popular, and that is museum glass. Museum glass offers the best of both worlds: UV protective and reflection control with the look of clear glass. The only way to see the difference in the use of museum glass is to see it in person!
