Karla Hunter
From Cohasset, MA

Karla Hunter is a Cohasset-based artist whose vibrant work reflects her love for color, pattern, and everyday moments. Working primarily with acrylic and gouache paints, she often incorporates reclaimed frames, bringing new life to both materials and memories. Karla creates from her home studio, where she lives with her husband, young son, and their rescue dog from Aruba.
A graduate of Castleton University with a concentration in graphic design and painting, Karla began her career as an art teacher before transitioning into a role at Island Creek Oyster in Duxbury. In June 2024, she committed fully to her artistic practice, immersing herself in the South Shore’s creative community. Since then, she has become active in local arts organizations like the North River Arts Society and regularly participates in exhibitions and collaborations with area businesses.
“The Frame Center has really boosted my confidence in my work, giving it that extra professional touch.”
