Statement from Artist:

My studio is outdoors in nature. I paint local landscapes, seascapes, salt marshes, and gardens on the South Shore and Cape Cod. To create a series of work, I paint favorite scenes repeatedly in various weather conditions, at different times of day, throughout the seasons. Working tirelessly, I aim to capture nuances of changing light and color, the rhythm and essence of a particular scene on a given day, of one moment in time. While painting in the garden, I aim to capture the interconnections between flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs. I always thank the landscape when I am finished. It is an honor and a great joy to paint in nature.
