Local Pottery is a working studio, teaching space, and artisan gallery featuring studio ceramics and fine craft. Owner and Potter, Lisa Howard, opened her shop in Pembroke, Massachusetts, on the beautiful South Shore in 1996.
Since then, she has had a firm belief that the transformation of quality materials through skilled craftsmanship and human creativity enhances our experiences in deeply meaningful ways. Her strong interest in handcrafted pottery for use in the kitchen and entertaining drives the collection, which is comprised of items individually selected for the gallery. They love the connections between maker and user that deepen over time. At Local Pottery, their focus is to provide the local community with access to finely crafted pottery as well as a ceramic studio in which it is made.
On this episode, Dave Petty, Owner of Frame Center, featuring Lisa Howard, Owner of Local Pottery, takes us on a personal tour of ceramics, crafts, and techniques.
