Paula Villanova

Paula’s love for art started in First Grade when she created a beautiful wire creature attached to the paper. It hung on the board and caught everyone’s attention, even her teacher who spoke to her about staring at it lovingly instead of paying attention. But that moment was all Paula needed to start her artistic journey.

She continued creating and eventually attended art school at UMass Dartmouth. She worked a couple of entry-level jobs in the art industry including a creative studio and ad agency, then became a freelance artist with several clients for a few years before dropping out completely for a few years, but she never stopped seeing. When her daughter turned 5, she painted her and it rekindled her passion for art. Since then Paula’s painting practice is something she makes time for because there are images she needs to create.
